Hi, I’m Hilde!
I have designed and developed drug delivery devices with pharmaceutical companies, set up a wedding dress business, managed design changes to pharmaceutical packaging and briefly developed tableware for restaurants. Along the way I qualified as a Prince 2 and an Agile practitioner.
And here I am, 20 years later, rich in stories and experience and the realisation that no project is exactly like one of the project management models. Every combination of people, products and processes is unique.
Many books and articles have been written on how to manage according to Prince 2, set up an Agile process and run brainstorming sessions but selecting the right tool for your project within your business is daunting, implementing it even more so. Most models assume the system will be adopted by the entire business, but this may be an impossible effort in a small company. I often would have liked to ask for advice, or at least discussed options, have someone proofread a charter, or checked a complex plan. I would have loved someone to tell me that a Prince 2 setup was too much of a good thing for a 6 months project with 4 people! A problem understood is a problem solved.
I now help business owners and their project managers to solve problems that are stopping them from delivering a project. I demonstrate and implement project management processes and methods for business owners, project managers and teams that are appropriate and practical for their business and which will allow them to successfully deliver a change project to the business. I do this because it will demonstrate how crucial project management, good process design and thorough decision-making is to the success of the business and the contentment of the teams.
I work with business managers and their project manager to choose the right practice, behaviours and processes to successfully complete projects.
